Brett Favre is back, ladies and gentleman. Favre has boarded a plane to Minnesota and is expected to sign a contract with the Vikings today.

This is all according to WCCO-TV out of Minnesota.

From WCCO:

WCCO-TV spoke with an official at the Hattiesburg, Miss., airport, who saw an airplane with the Vikings logo leave the airport Tuesday morning. The flight number for that plane has been blocked from tracking systems.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that Favre will sign with the Vikings today pending his physical. He also reports that the contract will be worth between 10 and 12 million dollars.

Vikings QB Tavaris Jackson spoke about the Favre saga yesterday: ”I pretty much have said [Favre] probably will follow me even when I retire. I’ll probably have to hear about it. I’m just trying to take care of my business, and I can’t worry about that stuff,” Jackson said, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. “If I let that stuff get to me, ain’t no telling where I’d be right now. I just let it roll off my shoulder and just keep going. Just keep trying to get better.”

More from ESPN:

Vikings coach Brad Childress confirmed in an e-mail to The Associated Press Tuesday morning that Favre was traveling from Mississippi to meet with the team.

Asked if the plan was to sign Favre on Tuesday, Childress replied: “In a perfect world.”
